I know that ruins the whole recap, but it's worth it. So without getting too much into it, the Jetsons won both games last Tuesday to go above .500 for overall regular season record, but the fun doesn't stop there. The Jetsons are 1-game under .500 for overall record (regular season + playoffs). This week is an even bigger week than last week, and our beer coordinator, Fence, has some special plans in the making for our next milestone.
Rejects 7
Jetsons 9
The game started extremely slow for the Jetsons. The Rejects were up 5-0 after two innings, and there wasn't a lot of excitement in the Jetson dugout. Then, (according to the book) a miracle happened. Kylie arrives with what looked like a new hairdo, and the scoring begins. Three straight hits from Hoochie, Gravy Hall, and Uncle Normy scores 2 runs. 5-2 after 3 innings. Another great defensive effort from the Jetsons, and the flood gates open in the bottom of the fourth. Five straight hits and three more after the first out puts 6 runs on the board, and the Jetsons take the lead 8-5. After giving up 2 runs in the fifth, the Jetsons post 1 run the bottom of the fifth. Then, the Jetsons blank the Rejects in the sixth to end the game 9-7. One game away from history.
MVJ:
Hoochie 4-4, 2 R, 2B, RBI
Wellner 2-2, RBI, BB
Harp 3-3, R
Looking at the stat lines, Hoochie put together the best game and wins the MVJ.
Jetsons 14
Misfits 9
The game to end the Jetsons' life as losers ended up not being much of a game, but there was a ton of ecitement and emotion from the Jetson camp. Down 2-0 after 1, the Jetsons put up 6 with the exclamation
The Misfits score 2 in the bottom of the sixth, and the game ends 14-9 with the Jetsons making history!!
MVJ:
Hayes 3-4, R
Wellner 3-4, 2 R, 2B, 3 RBI
Hall 2-4, 2 R, HR, 3 RBI
I was going to go against tradition and award the MVJ to Damon because of his three straight weeks with homeruns and a game turning homer in this game. But, I can't ignore Moose's contributions to the winning cause so Moose lands the MVJ.

I'm just curious.
